So how's that, you ask?

• Spouting off in the media every 5 minutes (Sullivan mainly)
• Too cosy with iffy agents
• Linked with every Carlos Kickaball you've never heard of
• Plus the occasional ancient legend (Beckham, Henry) 
• Benni McCarthy reminiscent of Titi Camara in girth

Now here's the difference

• Seemingly well organised defensively
• For once they've bought before they've sold
• Some purchases more in the Pardew mould based on athleticism and pace (Reid, Barrera)
• Haven't cashed in on their best player (I do hope that doesn't bite me on the arse before the window closes)

And they look like they are wearing a West Ham kit rather than a Hearts kit at home plus a nice mainly white kit on their travels.

Either way they could land anywhere between 7th and 17th.  Not enough goals will be the worry.
